New Radio Reading Service for the Blind in Louisville

There's a new source of information and news for blind and visually impaired Louisvillians.

The Central Kentucky Radio Eye (CKRE) is a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week service for people with visual impairments. CKRE carries daily readings from the Courier-journal, Herald-Leader and other Kentucky papers; the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other national news sources; medical journals; and much more.

The Radio Eye has been broadcasting to the Lexington area for 20 years and currently has about 3,000 listeners. With the expansion into Louisville and southern Indiana, CKRE hopes to add several thousand new listeners.

Get more information about CKRE at the GLCB Cookout on September 11, or call CKRE at 859-422-6390.
